Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. Her birth date was 11th November, 1966. Following her feature film debut with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody became a model after the opportunity was offered by a hopeful photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against fashion, thongs and glamour in her modelling career. She accepted a small role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was spotted by the director of casting. Doody's name was included as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising young actors from 1986. 38. Doody was just turning 18 years old at the time she was cast in the character of Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV adaptation of The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. Her first lead role was in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the 1988 movie Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She was Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen as well as her girlfriend on the set of Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who had been L'Oreal's spokesperson. After almost a decade away from the stage Doody was back in the acting world by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. She played alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 film adaptation for television of King Solomon's Mines and also starred in a short called Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet about the Holocaust and in the British TV series Waking the Dead (in a two-part show called. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to play the lead role in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season of two years. She also appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on 21 November 2018.
